Lots of bloggers get into this mode where they think Google Adsense will keep them from their 9-5. I’ve once heard a famous blogger say this, “Google Adsense is Welfare For Bloggers”.  That is true to an extent.

Traffic Can Override The Welfare Checks In order to make a decent amount of money with adsense you need to have a substantial amount of traffic on a day to day basis. Most bloggers are in the (less than 100 viewers per day) range. That low amount of traffic will keep your earnings low. Work on optimizing your site to get up there to the (500 or more viewers per day). Start submitting your best posts to Ezine Articles or Digg. Start creating videos on YouTube that link back to your site. These are just a few of the million ways to get traffic and more people clicking your ads.

Other Advertising Networks Keep in mind that Google Adsense isn’t the only way there is to get money from advertisers. Start getting involved in Affiliate Products. If you have a presentable website and you get a decent amount of traffic then the affiliate products path is the way to go also. Clickbank and Pepperjam will be your two greatest options in my opinion.Amazon offers affiliation but the pay is low. This month was a breaking record for me at $$7,000.00 with Click-Bank. You should really get into it if you haven’t already!

Be Stingy… So what do I mean by “being stingy”? You ask. Well I’m meaning to stop advertising for other people and getting them rich. I once stressed in one of my lectures that you can “Sell Your Talent“. No matter what it is that you do, it’s worth trying to sell. You know how to train a dog? Make a video of steps for people to train their dog. Sell the downloads for 5 or 10 bucks a piece! Before you know it you’ll have hundreds of people buying your videos. Another way to gain straight cash is to sell your own Ebook. You might say “Well Jeff I don’t think I can write and write like that”. Let me tell you; if you are already blogging then you have the capability to write an Ebook. It doesn’t even have to be 300 pages long. It could be 20 or less! As long as you have good quality in your writing and you’re not giving people crap to buy then you’re good to go.

Summary… Don’t waste your time trying to get rich from Google Adsense. It is a very slow process that honestly requires for you to get lots of traffic in order to break the (couple of cents per day) barrier. Excuse me for my slang,but go get your hustle on! If you’re ever woke at 2 or 3 a.m in the morning writing sometimes like I am, you’ll see these advertisers really trying to sell their products. It all boils down to the famous quote, “How Bad Do You Want It”? You have to be like these people. You might not be able to get on t.v and advertise, but you’re a blogger and the free resources are out there. You just have to get out of the comfort zone and use them!
