Blogging Smartly

It is quite common for bloggers to get so caught up in their blogs that they forget the more important things. It’s just the small things that matter when it comes to blogging!

scheduleSet Up A Schedule… I could remember the times when I would spend countless number of hours working on my blog or surfing the Internet. I began to push everything else aside in life. I had a ranch that I began to lose focus of, a girlfriend that I very much loved but lost because of my computer habit. It took real life lessons in order for me to wake up and smell the roses! I want you bloggers to avoid this from happening to you. Now I have a schedule set up to be on my blog no more than 5 hours per day, considering that I’m a full-time blogger. That is enough time to write my posts and go into the blog community to help out others. Scheduling the way you blog is also beneficial to your health. It is very strainful for your eyes to watch the computer screen for a long period of time. Seizures also can erupt from this sort of behavior. You definitely don’t want that happening!

stressed outTake A Break… If you feel that you just absolutely have to get some things done on your blog and it’s going to take several hours, then add in some breaks. Putting some resting periods in between your time on your blog will definitely cause you to think better. Exhaustion can lead to you writing less effective posts and can turn your readers away. Also, remember not to blog on an empty stomach! Always have a snack handy!

Don’t let this sitting, resting and eating get to your waist line though! As a full-time blogger I have once put on a few pounds :) Make sure that you keep in mind that this pleasant career need not be taken lightly. It’s almost a proven fact that those who earn a living online are overweight. I figured that if I’m going to be doing something I loved then I would want to look good while doing it! Some years ago I got a membership at Anytime Fitness and I’ve been blogging in shape ever since!  Good thing is, that it’s open 24 hours and I only pay $16.00 per month! You don’t necessarily have to be a big workout fan like me but at least eat healthy and drink plenty of water. This will keep the blogger pounds off naturally!

writerHire A Guest-Writer Sometimes… There might be instances where you can’t absolutely write or you might be deciding to take a vacation. When you hear the term “hire a guest writer“, it sounds expensive but it’s not. You can often get a guest writer for your blog at a fair price. I’ve once seen job postings that were hiring bloggers to write posts anywhere from $3.00 to $75.00 per entry. This can all vary depending on what you blog about. Heck! If your site is popular enough, people will write as a guest for free to popularize their name! It is beneficial to have guest writers in mind, because you’ll never know when you may need them.  Hiring a guest writer also reflects back on “not stressing yourself with our blog“.

summarySummary….It is important in the blogging industry that you have your priorities straight. Blogging is a career and just like with anything else, it takes planning. Always remember to blog healthy and blog smart!
