Surviving The Drought With Your Blog
Have you ever almost gave up on your blog because nobody dropped by to leave a comment, your products weren’t converting or you just were getting absolutely no love? I want to give you a few things to survive the drought period in the early birth of your blog.
Keep This In Mind
If you have have been diligently making relevant posts to your blog on a good basis, then it will take care of itself later down the road. Of course you might not be getting the comments that your posts deserve, but as soon as your “PR” goes up and you happen to be top on a high ranked rss site, then that’s when the fun begins! You never know when you’ll be on the first page of Technorati.
Set A Goal
While some want stuff right then and right there, it just doesn’t work like that! You have to really put statistics into place here. It’s said that there is a blogcreated once every minute. Therefore, you know for sure that this is a big thing with lots of people and only a few of that percentage being successful. If you’ve just been blogging a month in, don’t expect for your page rank to shoot up in the next month. It could be months and months before anything spectacular happens to your blog. Set a goal for yourself. I’ll take me for instance. This new blog I’m posting on is only 1 month old. I set myself a goal to have over 300 posts by the time it’s a year old and a page rank of 5 or more. I spoke it and it shall be done, well that’s the way I think anyway
Don’t be upset if you set a goal and it’s not reached, you have to look at the positives of things!
Start Up A Group!
I know each and every single one of you reading this have friends. Everybody is into the blogging thing now so it wouldn’t take much for you to tell ol John boy to stop by and read your post for the day! Imagine having an email list with 10 friends and doing that everyday. You would never get bored with your blog because there will always be people commenting on it and seeing what you have to say!
Summary
Whether you’re a beginner blogger or been in it for a good minute, I know how hard it could be to constantly blog without anyone showing you love or support. I want you to implement those things into your thinking process so your days of blogging last longer. Most of all I just want you to love blogging no matter what!
